Product Description

Prime Oil is a multi-tasking plant oil designed for two primary uses: conditioning and taming coarse beard hair, and preparing skin for a close, comfortable shave. It works equally well as a daily beard conditioner applied to dry hair, or as a pre-shave primer massaged into skin before shaving.

The formula centres on four complementary carrier oils. Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) provides the base. As a liquid wax ester structurally similar to sebum, it absorbs without heaviness and is widely used in both hair and skin care for its conditioning and balancing properties. Avocado oil (Persea Gratissima Oil) is rich in oleic acid and contributes a weightier, more emollient feel that helps soften coarser textures. Sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) and apricot kernel oil (Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil) are lighter carriers that round out the blend and improve spreadability.

The essential oil profile is deliberately grounding. Sandalwood contributes a creamy, woody depth. Patchouli adds earthy richness. Black pepper brings a dry, spiced note. Lime provides citrus brightness. Lemongrass adds a green, herbal freshness. Rosemary rounds the blend with a clean, herbal quality. Together they create a complex, layered scent that develops on the skin through the day.
