Our Farming Partnerships

Become a supporter

At Tarro Skincare, our mission is simple: to create powerful, natural skincare using the highest quality ingredients — without compromise. That’s why we’re proud to source our tallow directly local farms and partner with farms to create and sell their own farm-sourced tallow skincare to their local communities.

A Win for British Farming

This farm-to-skin model does more than just create great skincare. It actively:

  • Celebrates traditional farming values by making the most of every part of the animal
  • Reduces waste by using nutrient-rich suet that would otherwise be discarded
  • Adds value to British livestock farming through innovative, natural products
  • Reconnects people to the source of what they put on their skin—not just what they eat

In an industry dominated by synthetic ingredients, global supply chains, and greenwashing, this partnership is a breath of fresh (country) air.

Old Hall Farm, Norfolk

Old Hall Farm is a regenerative, family-run farm set in the countryside of South Norfolk. Passionate about traditional farming values, the team raises a herd of pasture-fed Jersey cows known for producing exceptionally creamy, nutrient-rich milk.

But Old Hall Farm isn’t just about dairy—it’s about doing farming differently. Their focus on high animal welfare, natural grazing, and sustainability underpins everything they do. The farm operates on a low-input, closed-loop model, using techniques that build soil health, support biodiversity, and keep animals thriving on grass—not grain.

From their own raw Jersey milk, they create award-winning cream, butter and ice-cream, as well as handcrafted produce and goods from other local artisans in their bustling on-site farm shop and café.

As a working farm, retailer, and rural food hub, Old Hall Farm champions a return to simple, honest, British food—and now, thanks to their partnership with Tarro, they’re also closing the loop by supplying us with fresh suet from their Jersey cows and surrounding farms, which we transform into rich, nourishing skincare.

Old Hall Farm is known for its dedication to ethical, regenerative practices. Their animals are pasture-raised with care, contributing to healthy soil, biodiversity, and a truly sustainable farming model.

By working directly with Old Hall Farm, we’re able to:

  • Source tallow fresh from the farm—not from industrial or cosmetic-grade suppliers
  • Support British agriculture by creating a circular local economy
  • Ensure transparency in our ingredients from field to face

And it doesn’t end there. Once crafted into our small-batch balms, the finished products go full circle—stocked and sold in Old Hall Farm’s very own farm shop.

Marbled Meats of Northall, Bedfordshire

Marbled Meats (Breeding Vision) has been shaping the Chilterns countryside for nearly 150 years, raising cattle and sheep with care. They're fully committed to high welfare and grass-based farming and manage over 250 cows and 2500 ewes across rotationally grazed pastures, certified under Animal Welfare Approved, Grass-fed and Non-GMO Standards.

What truly sets Marbled Meats apart is their exceptional Wagyu herd:

  • Originating from Japan, this breed is celebrated for its intense marbling and higher omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid profile  .
  • As of now, the farm has grown its Wagyu line to over 100 animals, including 10 pure-bred and many crossbred stock, with genetics continually improved through selective import  .
  • The cattle are grass-fed year-round, with winter supplemental feeding from hay or silage harvested from their own pastures  .

We’re honoured to receive Wagyu tallow from Marbled Meats—an extraordinary ingredient: rich in nourishing fatty acids, deeply moisturising, and naturally regenerative.

Foxholes Farm Shop, Hertfordshire

Foxholes Farm Shop is an award-winning, family-run farm situated deep within the Hertfordshire countryside. They have a fully-stocked farm shop, butchery counter and deli, and their farming heritage spans three generations.  Their ethic is simple: fewer food miles, respect for the land, and transparency about where the produce comes from.

What this means for our skincare

Our collaboration with Foxholes means we can source local British tallow from Hertfordshire, aligning perfectly with our circular-economy ethos: using nutrient-rich suet that otherwise may be under-utilised, and transforming it into high-performance skincare. We believe in making the most of every part of the animal — no wastage, full value.

Their farm shop is located in Hertford (London Road, SG13 7NT), open 7 days a week and offers not only fresh meats and deli goods, but also our Tarro tallow-based balms as part of their curated natural-skincare range.

Hutchinson Hobbs, Yorkshire

Hutchinson Hobbs Farm is a family-centred working farm in the rolling countryside of Yorkshire, grounded in traditional livestock farming values. Nestled among pasture and grazing land, the team focuses on rearing grass-fed cattle using tried-and-true rotational grazing methods and attentive animal care that reflect generations of northern English farming heritage.

What sets Hutchinson Hobbs apart is their commitment to British farming systems that honour the land and the animal. Their farm shop and butcher’s counter are hubs for the local community where pasture-raised meat and seasonal produce reflect the rhythms of Yorkshire grazing cycles. The livestock are predominantly grass-fed, moving through a mosaic of pastures that support soil structure, natural forage growth and wildlife corridors.

Through our partnership, Hutchinson Hobbs Farm supplies us with high-quality pasture-raised beef tallow — rendered and refined by Tarro into deeply nourishing skincare balms that echo the farm’s respect for whole-animal use.

By working with Hutchinson Hobbs Farm, we’re able to:

  • Source tallow from pasture-raised cattle with a clear British origin.
  • Celebrate traditional Yorkshire grazing methods and land stewardship.
  • Support local farm retail and community exchange of goods.
  • Increase ingredient transparency from field to face.

Lannock Farm, Hertfordshire

Lannock Farm sits within the Hertfordshire countryside, where a long agricultural history blends arable land with responsible livestock systems. As part of that heritage, Lannock Farm operates with a focus on rotational grazing, forage-based diets and pasture management that prioritise animal welfare, soil health and regional biodiversity.

Their farm shop, Lannock Larder, is a destination for pasture-fed British beef, seasonal produce and independent artisan makers, bringing high-welfare farming directly to local tables. This model reflects a broader commitment to land-respectful agriculture — a system where grazing cattle, grass cycles and nutrient recycling are integral to the farm’s identity.

Thanks to our collaboration, Tarro sources beef tallow connected to these grass-fed herds, which is rendered into rich, nutrient-dense base oils for our skincare range. This connection embodies a shared belief in simple, functional natural products where farming and formulation are inseparable.

By working with Lannock Farm, we’re able to:

  • Source tallow linked to grass-based livestock management in Hertfordshire.
  • Support direct farm-to-consumer retail and local agricultural resilience.
  • Ensure traceable ingredients grounded in regional grazing systems.
  • Honour land stewardship through responsible pasture use.

Peterley Manor Farm, Buckinghamshire

Peterley Manor Farm is a well-known Buckinghamshire farm rooted in seasonal agriculture and community-led retail. With a long history of mixed farming and local food production, the farm is especially recognised for its seasonal produce, farm shop and connection to the surrounding countryside.

Their farm shop champions regional makers and high-quality British produce, creating a space where customers value provenance, transparency and local supply chains.

While Tarro does not source tallow directly from Peterley Manor Farm, we proudly provide white-labelled tallow balms crafted using our own pasture-raised British tallow supply. These balms sit alongside local produce in the farm shop, reinforcing the connection between British agriculture and natural skincare.

This partnership reflects shared values:
